Hello!

In my role as a teacher and educational consultant, I acknowledge the individuality of every child's learning strengths and difficulties. My approach is characterized by patience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to establishing positive connections with both students and their families. I firmly believe that learning should be a pleasurable journey, and I strive to create a comfortable environment where students and families can thrive.

In May of 2013, I acquired my degree in Elementary Education from The University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando. The Elementary Education program at UCF provided the opportunities to learn about Kindergarten through Sixth Grade as well as gain a Reading Endorsement and ESOL Certification. Since then, I have worked at a single gender charter school where I taught Kindergarten Boys. While working full time, I received my Masters of Education in Exceptional Student Education at The University of Central Florida, as well as my Gifted Certificate. Because of this, I decided it was time for me to move to a different school to allow myself the opportunity to grow and become a better teacher.
I made the move to Palm Beach County where I taught 3rd and 4th grade Gifted/High Achieving students. My first year in third grade, my principal had told me that she expected all of my students to pass FSA. Being as it was my first year in a testing grade, I was extremely nervous. At the end, I pulled it off. I then looped up with my class to fourth grade where I continued to grow as a teacher, and earned my first rating of “Highly Effective.”
Since then, I have been moved to Miami Dade County, where I have been the department chair for our schools Exceptional Student Education program. I currently attend Individual Education Plan meetings and work closely with district personnel to ensure that all students have adequate goals and are receiving services based on their unique needs.
I have faced a lot of challenges, but because I am determined, I was able to overcome them and prove to myself that I am a successful teacher. I am extremely driven, and the students in my class inspire me to work hard to reach my goal of making a difference.
